Invest in One World's Biggest Priority: The Writing Home Project

For 20 years, One World Education has helped students discover the power of their own voices through writing.

As we celebrate our 20th anniversary, we're launching The Writing Home Project—our most important investment in the future of One World.

A permanent home for the One World Academy will allow us to serve more students, expand award-winning programming, and create a lasting space where young writers can learn, publish, and thrive.

Our goal is to raise $250,000 by June 30, 2027 to secure a stable, long-term home where more students can learn, write, and thrive.

A permanent home will allow One World to:

  • Expand afterschool programming from 2 to 5 days per week
  • Serve significantly more students from DC’s highest-need communities
  • Provide ongoing training for teachers across 40 partner schools
  • Create a dedicated space for student writing, publishing, and storytelling
  • Establish a consistent hub for families, educators, and community events

This investment ensures that One World’s impact continues to grow—with greater stability, reach, and results for years to come.

Every gift—whether $25 or $25,000—helps create a permanent home where more students can discover the power of their voices.
